On the morning of 20th September, the sun was shining gaily. All students from Grade 11 gathered together in the Lecture Hall to attend the guidance conference designated for learning methods.
It happened to be the time when Chinese people celebrated the successful launch of Tiangong-2. As a result, Director Xu Haihong led students to get acquainted with its chief designer Zhu Zongpeng who shared the same native place as we did. Zhu Zongpeng experienced several ups and downs during his school life. However, by virtue of tenacious perseverance and far-reaching aspiration, he acquired his Master’s Degree in Harbin Institute of Technology, entered the Institute of Aeronautics& Astronautics in China and accomplished his glories ultimately.
Following the instructions of Director Xu Haihong, students were lost in thought. The scarlet themed slogan, ‘Let Us Advance Better& Further’, appeared on the screen.
The conference began with a discussion on the significance of Grade 11. Considering the fact that Grade 10 is the basis, Grade 12 is the sprint, we regard Grade 11 as a connecting link between the preceding Grade 10 and the following Grade 12, which means Grade 11 is the watershed of achievement differentiation. It is not only the curved path but also the key factor. Moreover, Director Xu Haihong encouraged students to surpass the curve and overcome themselves.
Here comes a question. How do students from Grade 11 fulfill their tasks? At the conference, Director Xu pointed out the problems that existed among part of the Grade 11 students. For instance, they lacked self-control power and the awareness of becoming 12th grade students soon. As is known to all, details determine success or failure. Only if we transform the details in life into positive elements, can we achieve success. Therefore, the conference called upon all students to adjust strength to eliminate the existing bad habits, completely eradicating their growth and spread. Other than than, Director Xu listed a great many cases of Anqing Foreign Language School’s excellent graduates to prove the enormous role that details played.
All in all, this conference called upon all students from Grade 11 to be on guard against conceit and impetuosity, enjoy the hardships and practice by listening, speaking, reading, writing, thinking as well as acting. We stimulated our students to never forget their initial impetus and greet the challenges ahead in that they would strive hard in Grade 11 to go all out for the College Entrance Examination.
